I would love to wish all muslim readers and friends Selamat Berpuasa & Happy Fasting.

May all our ibadah be accepted by Allah and may we be constantly blessed with His mercy and compassion in this holy month of Ramadhan.

O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqun (the pious).

(Fasting) for a fixed number of days, but if any of you is ill or on a journey, the same number (should be made up) from other days. And as for those who can fast with difficulty, (i.e. an old man, etc.), they have (a choice either to fast or) to feed a poor person (for every day). But whoever does good of his own accord, it is better for him. And that you fast, it is better for you if only you know.” (2:183-84)

“Verily! We have sent it (this Quran) down in the night of Al-Qadr.

And what will make you know what the night of Al-Qadr is?

The night of Al-Qadr is better than a thousand months

Therein descend the angels and the Ruh (Gabriel) by Allah’s Permission with all Decrees,

Peace! until the appearance of dawn (97:1-5)

Sultan Abdul Samad Mosque or KLIA Mosque is a mosque located close to Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

Construction began in 1999 and was completed in 2000. The architecture drew influences from Middle Eastern and local Malay styles. The mosque was officially opened in 2001 by the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.

- Wikipedia (which unfortunately has very little info about this majestic mosque)

I had the opportunity to shoot this beautiful mosque although the weather was quite unfavourable caused by haze (smog). Anyway I concentrated more on the mosque’s stunningly beautiful interior especially its stained glass.

I will provide more information on the mosque once I got it and will post here.

Enjoy the pictures.

In Kuala Besut there is a weekly market every Friday from about 8.00am to 12.oo noon. It is where kampung folks as well as small-time traders ply their trade at the provided space. The goods range from agricultural produce, food as well as clothes and household items. But what is more interesting about this market is the majority of the traders is ladies. Despite their conservative lifestyle and well-entrenched tradition associated with ladies on the east-coast of Malaysia, they are well emancipated, very enterprising and financially independant.

Who says muslim ladies are inhibited?
