Yesterday while walking to the Masjid Jamek LRT station to go home from my office I was trying to find an interesting scene or things to shoot. I have been itching to take pictures for some time but didn’t have opportunity to do so due to work commitment and weather! Yes weather for the past week was not so favourable but I fervently hope that it would turn out to be fine and flattering next week to let us shoot hot air balloons next week
So since I brought the camera yesterday and I could escape early from the office I strolled around the Jalan Masjid India area and Masjid Jamek LRT station before taking the LRT. I suddenly stumbled on a stall selling a lot of imitation branded sunglasses. I was thinking I might be able to bag one or two pictures from this stall. The sunglasses seemed to form an interesting pattern. So I photographed these two enterprising gentlemen who were manning the stall.

Entertaining customers
Right after shooting at this angle I walked to the other side and I noticed there was a big mirror hanging overhead for the customers to look at themselves while trying on the sunglasses.

One of the customers is trying on the sunglasses
Without further delay I clicked away upon seeing a lady trying on a couple of sunglasses and looked at herself in the mirror. I knew I have bagged a decent picture. It also reminded me of a picture by ex-National Geographic photographer, Steve Raymer in his coffee table book entitled Living Faith.
Finally before boarding the LRT I captured the hustle and bustle at the LRT station. People were rushing to go home perhaps in anticipation of the school holiday next week. Parents would normally take a long leave during school holiday.

Rush hour
Happy street shooting
